It Started with a Bag. And a Little Bit of Madness.
Sixteen years ago, Rekha returned from Kolkata with a bag full of jewellery and an idea. She turned to her daughter, Miloni, and told her they were starting a fashion jewellery business.
There was no business plan and no grand store. Just a mother with a vision, a daughter ready to dream alongside her, and a shared love for beautiful jewellery. And just like that, Ghanthan Jewels was born.
We started small, taking Ghanthan to exhibitions across Mumbai and later to gallery spaces, meeting women one piece at a time. Necklaces led to earrings, earrings to bracelets and rings, and sketches on paper became beautiful creations in the hands of skilled artisans across Kolkata and Mumbai.
For us, jewellery has always been about more than how it looks. It is about how it makes you feel, and finding pieces that reflect your personality and become part of your story.
Two years ago, Ghanthan found a home of its own with our flagship store on Pedder Road, Mumbai. Now, with Ghanthan online, we are bringing our designs and craftsmanship to women across India.
It began in Kolkata, with a mother who dared to dream and a daughter who believed in that dream. A story of two generations and a love for jewellery.
